The Key to Understanding

oneself and others

"is based

not on what the person thinks,

but how they think;

not on what people do or what they believe,

but how they do what they do;

and how they believe

that which they do believe."

~ Dr. Clare W. Graves

It's About Community ...

We have at our very fingertips, at the tips of our brains, tremendous
amounts of skill and knowledge not found on any website, or captured
within any book.

Trust is the river through which this knowledge flows.

Passion is Not Enough: Designing and Delivering Effective Workshops Print E-mail

Rule Number One: Always have a passion for your topic!

Yet enthusiasm + expertise do not necessarily add up to a great presenter. Learn the organizational skills of designing high quality workshops - Planning, structuring content and managing flow, as well as effectively using demos and visuals. Tips and techniques for improving facilitation skills and engaging attendees interactively will also be discussed. This workshop will maximize learning with a hands-on case study to create a sample presentation. This class is ideally 1.5 to 2.0 hours long.

This class is targeted for those who may have the drive, desire and knowledge to present and teach others in the leather community, yet lack previous exposure to best practices and organizational skills to enable them to create exceptional educational presentations. Concepts and techniques for workshop development will be better understood and retained by immediately applying the new information learned to a sample case study (attendees will be asked to work together in a team environment). A portion of the class will also focus on helping those who are relatively inexperienced in public speaking learn key basics to improve their speaking style and handle challenging situations.
