One Cannot Teach ...

... someone how to be an artist.

You can teach techniques, concepts, skills and the use of creative tools, such as painting, sculpture, composition and more, but you can never teach someone to *be* an artist. That has to come from deep inside, from the heart and soul...They have to have the spirit and desire to create something so intensely personal. So it is with BDSM. All the classes, workshops, books and websites in the world can't teach you slavery or Mastery. Like a work of beautiful art that moves you and takes your breath away, finding what will bring you fulfillment in this lifestyle can only come from within.

When Someone You Love is Vanilla Print E-mail

At some point in their kinky lives, everyone in the BDSM community has had to face a critical question: Who in their vanilla lives to tell about their alternative interests, whether to tell them a little or a lot, plus exactly when and how to tell them. One of the hardest conversations you might ever have could be telling a loved one, family member, spouse or partner about your secret interests - especially if you've hidden that side of yourself for years, perhaps even decades.

In this interactive discussion workshop, we explore different aspects of opening up to a vanilla loved one and how to gently include a spouse or partner in this side of your identity. Information provided by a conflict management expert is also included to help attendees prepare for the challenging conversations that can accompany "coming out". Attendees will be encouraged to share their coming out experiences, fears, hopes and questions about this delicate decision, one that eventually faces all of us who are drawn to the world of BDSM and kink.
